Jeremy Wafer

Jeremy Wafer (b. 1953) is a South African artist whose work examines themes of place, memory, and displacement through sculpture, photography, video, and drawing.
Holding Fine Art and Art History degrees from the University of Natal and the University of the Witwatersrand, he is a Professor of Fine Art at Wits. Wafer has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale (2015) and Goodman Gallery (2023), with his work held in major collections such as the Smithsonian and the South African National Gallery
