Ilana Maree & Hanlé Hill

Inspired by nature as an art form, this contact print, created by printmaker, Ilana Maree, and artist and cultural specialist, Hanlé Hill, captures the life span of one of Stellenbosch’s oldest oak trees.

Ilana Maree, a South African art educator and part-time artist, teaches Visual Arts Printmaking and Drawing for Grades 10 to 12, along with Visual Arts Theory for Grade 11, at the PJ Olivier Art Centre in Stellenbosch.

Hanlé Hill, a Stellenbosch local, artist, and culture concierge, grew up on a wine farm on the outskirts of town. Her vibrant creativity and deep-rooted connection to the town make her guided tours an immersive experience. Hill is a valued member of our Art Mile team.
