Juan Piek, the visionary and technical advisor behind Cape Jungle Kids, has been deeply involved in the timber and sawmill industry. In 2006, he founded Cape Jungle Kids to meet the growing demand for premium, safe, and high-quality playground equipment in the Western Cape. His expertise in wood craftsmanship has established him as a leader in this field.

Juan's contributions extend beyond playgrounds. He played a pivotal role in the Stellenbosch Art Mile, advising on the Timber Bank seating area and the Outdoor Classroom. In early 2024, after severe windstorms damaged trees in Stellenbosch, the Art Mile committee sought Juan’s expertise in recovering and repurposing timber. His exceptional work with the installation highlights his skill and commitment to sustainable, artistic design.
